The hands of 36 battery-operated clocks were aligned to spell the word TRUTH. The clocks were turned on during a participatory performance that solicited the assistance of thirty-six people, each of whom pushed a battery into the back of one clock at the same instant. During the performance, participants were asked to identify things that used to be true that are no longer true, and record something that is true now that might not be true at some point in the future. Once the clocks were turned on, the configuration of TRUTH quickly disappeared. Although it will reappear every 12 hours following, TRUTH will slowly disintegrate over time as the clocks naturally fall out of sync.
